It took a little trial and error to make sure whether each section should have debits as positive or credits as positive. It would be really useful to have weekly cash flow as several of my clients need to know on a weekly basis as its crucial to there business. I post a question on a support forum and get an official answer within a week. Nevertheless, a simple cash forecast just using the p&l would be really useful. Currently I do it by exporting from Xero to a spreadsheet, which is clunky, not real time and difficult to share. I am now having to pay 18 EUR extra per month to use the add-on Float for my cashflow reporting.
